The Sfax™ secure EFR (electronic fax record) system for health care has digital signature and annotation features making faxing a paperless operation for health care providers. The launch kicked off with a Webcast earlier this week hosted by CEO Dennis Nasto.
Secure health information and data exchange is critical to the delivery of quality patient care. As health care providers move toward implementing EMR systems into their practices, they are confronted by significant upfront costs, disruption, and behavioral changes within the practice—and large amounts of time spent converting old paper records to electronic records. Sfax paves the way to a pain-free process by providing a simple, affordable bridge technology that eases the transition to an electronic-based practice, allowing health care providers to spend their time on premium patient care rather than paper processes.
With the addition of the digital signature and annotation tools, Sfax provides health care providers with a paperless and efficient way to send and receive patient health information (PHI) securely, saving users up to 95% of the time and 80% of cost versus manual faxing. The digital signature feature provides users with a digital certificate, allowing providers to digitally sign each fax from a secure, HIPAA-ready platform. Special annotation features allow users to edit faxed documents with tools such as check marks and text boxes without printing a page.
