 Nasal CPAP Interface
VIASYS Healthcare, Yorba Linda, Calif, introduces the Lyra nasal CPAP interface, which offers all four sizes in one package with one part number, eliminating the need to order multiple sizes and part numbers to fit a patient. By cutting two different sizes in half, a large size can be placed on one side of the mask and a small size on the other to accommodate unique or hard-to-fit patients. Lyra reduces noise by distributing air through a five-port exhalation system on each side of the mask. It also offers patients the option of placing the tubing over the head or down toward the chest. SystemOne OnDemand can be scaled to meet the needs of all sizes of HME providers. The range of offerings include single-user access; the ability to electronically bill either only the DMERC and Medicaid or an unlimited number of users; accounts receivable and electronic posting of ANSI X835 and ERN payments; and inventory control for serial numbers, lot numbers, equipment maintenance, and purchase orders. It also provides all documentation required by Medicare. (800) 231-7776; www.qs1.com/hme

 Face-Conforming Nasal Mask
The new FlexiFit™ Series HC407 nasal mask by Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corp Limited, Auckland, New Zealand, incorporates the company’s FlexiFit cushion technology, making it more compact, less obtrusive, more comfortable, and simple to fit. The new mask builds on 3 years of design development, including data from thousands of face measurements, for a seal that conforms to most face shapes and allows for increased range of movement. The mask also includes the company’s patented glider technology for stability and freedom of movement. (800) 446-3908; www.fphcare.com.

 CPAP Chin Strap
Roscoe Medical Inc, Strongsville, Ohio, introduces the Sure-Fit chin strap, featuring a split-top design that ensures a secure, no-slip fit for CPAP patients. Constructed of soft, comfortable materials, Sure-Fit is available with a Velcro attachment or in a continuous slip-on design. It was invented by a respiratory therapist and a sleep laboratory technician, who saw noncompliance with CPAP therapy due to patients’ frustrations with standard chin straps. Sure-Fit’s split at the top of the head provides greater stability, ensuring that the patient’s mouth stays closed throughout the night without discomfort. (800) 376-7263; www.roscoemedical.com.

It features an aluminum frame, a single camber with choice of one degree to 20 degrees, angle and fore/aft positions, a fixed or folding back, and an easy-to-remove offensive wing or bumper system. Equipped with a swivel antitip bar, the Transformer is available in a tall or short model, and high-performance sport wheels and high-pressure tires come standard. (800) 333-6900; www.invacare.com

 Contact Minimizing Nasal Mask
Respironics Inc, Murrysville, Pa, introduces the ComfortLite™ mask, a small and light device with two interchangeable cushions for maximum comfort and minimal mask contact. The Direct Seal™ cushion seals without insertion into the nostrils, and the Simple Cushion™ is a small, tip-of-the-nose interface. ComfortLite’s headgear system separates the hose from the mask area for stability, and a 360° hose swivel accommodates hose preference. Multiple adjustment points on the headgear help the mask accommodate a variety of head sizes. The nine-position angular adjuster and rotating vertical adjuster allow patients to create a personalized seal. (800) 345-6443; www.respironics.com.
