DAV Presents Award to Golden Technologies
The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) presented Golden Technologies, Old Forge, Pa, with a commemorative plaque for Golden’s efforts to serve veterans during the 84th annual DAV National Convention held in Las Vegas in August. “Many ill or disabled veterans would not have been able to attend or participate fully in the National Convention without these scooters,” says Aaron Montague of the Philadelphia office of the DAV. Golden Technologies, which holds the national scooter contract with Veterans Administration Hospitals throughout the nation, donated 137 scooters to the DAV national convention. “Golden assisted many DAV members in overcoming their mobility limitations and contributed greatly to the success of our convention,” said Montague.

Arcoa Healthcare Acquires Rights to Atlas Cane
Arcoa Healthcare, San Marcos, Calif, has acquired the worldwide rights to the Fall-Free Atlas Cane. The Arcoa Fall-Free Atlas Cane has a patented built-in mechanism that allows users to stand it under a standard-height table, desk, or the arm of most chairs. The cane is also adjustable from 31 inches to 36 inches, and includes a rubberized handle, anodized aluminum shaft, sturdy non-slip rubber tip, and removable wrist strap.

Fastrack Debuts Delivery and Warehouse Automation
Fastrack Healthcare Systems Inc, Plainview, NY, is unveiling a new advanced Delivery and Warehouse Automation solution (to be demonstrated at Medtrade Spring 2006) that fully integrates with the Fastrack Enterprise System for Windows/SQL. “The new module utilizes state-of-the-art cellular and bar code technology that fully automates order fulfillment, receiving, physical inventory, and the delivery dispatching and routing components of a provider,” said Spencer Kay, president, Fastrack. “The system will offer tangible results in that it will improve the accuracy of orders picked and received, reduce paperwork, speed up the billing process, and enhance customer service.”

Record Revenue for ResMed
ResMed Inc, San Diego, achieved record revenue and income results for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. The results were driven by the success of the company’s acquisitions and strong demand for its products, including the Mirage Swift™ and the S8™ flow generator platform. “In the second quarter of fiscal 2006, sales in the Americas increased by a record 50% over the year ago quarter to $78.3 million, reflecting continued strong demand for our new Mirage Swift patient interface and full face mask as well as a rapid adoption of our S8™ flow generator platform,” said Chairman and CEO Peter C. Farrell, PhD. “International sales, including incremental revenue contributions from the acquisitions of Resprecare, Hoefner, Saime, Pulmomed, and PolarMed, totaled $68.1 million, a 32% increase over last year.” During the quarter, ResMed also donated $255,000 to the ResMed Foundations, which promote research and awareness of serious medical consequences for untreated sleep disordered breathing.

Graham Field Revenues Climb
Graham Field Health Products’ revenues for its third quarter ending January 31, 2006, were up 21% compared to the third quarter ending January 31, 2005. Revenues in all four business units were up substantially with international and home care revenues growing in excess of 30%. During the third quarter, the company opened more than 400 new accounts, which was an all-time record, and announced the introduction of more new products than in any single quarter in the company’s history. “This quarter marked the turnaround of the hard efforts of our more than 300 US associates and 600 associates worldwide,” said Irwin Selinger, CEO. “Based on the current momentum, we expect our fourth quarter, which ends April 30, 2006, to be up over 25%.”

Golden Technologies Introduces Spectrum Seating Program
Golden Technologies, Old Forge, Pa, has unveiled a new approach to seating for its power chair lineup. “This is a bold step for Golden Technologies; one no other manufacturer has taken,” says Rich Golden, CEO. “We now offer consumers three different seats in three different colors in a total of 45 sizes to get a truly custom fit on a consumer power base.” The standard seats in the Spectrum Seating Program include the Captain’s seat, the deluxe high back seat, and the van/pan seat. Seats in all three styles measuring 18 inch x 18 inch, 18 inch x 20 inch, and 20 inch x 18 inch will be standard at no additional charge. “Golden Technologies makes the highest quality, most comfortable and customizable lift chair on the market today; we should take that same approach with mobility seating,” says Golden.

The company’s Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $.0125 per share on its common shares and $.011364 per share on its Class B common shares payable April 11, 2006, to shareholders of record on April 3, 2006.... Golden Technologies, Old Forge, Pa, has changed its lift chair warehouse express shipment program for its dealers; 12 models in 13 different fabric selections can now be ordered from a Golden warehouse and shipped in 48 hours or less.
