POS and Credit Card Enhancements at Fastrack
The newest version of the Fastrack Enterprise System for Windows/SQL includes enhancements for HME retailers and clients looking to increase collections. The Plainview, NY-based company also announced a program designed to reduce credit/debit card processing fees.
Specifically, Fastrack has enabled touch screen capabilities in their point of sale module that will increase the speed of retail transactions. Customers can purchase a fully integrated POS System that includes:
• 15-inch touch screen monitor;
• Hewlett Packard (HP) computer w/80gb hard disk;
• bar code scanner w/cradle;
• receipt printer;
• mag strip reader for credit card processing;
• 3-year HP onsite maintenance; and
• optional display pole.
The new update to the Fastrack System includes the capability to process credit/debit cards over a secure Internet connection from order entry, direct billing, cash posting, patient intake, A/R collections, point of sale, and the delivery module for collecting payment at the patient’s home in real-time. With the ability to capture credit card information easier and in a more automated fashion, Fastrack officials hope providers will increase their collection of copayments and past due amounts.
A partnership with National Merchant Alliance (NMA) will help eliminate monthly fees and reduce the provider’s processing fees. Through this alliance, Fastrack can provide the credit card software for free if the provider processes through NMA. NMA works with the leading networks including Cardnet-CES/First Data, Global Payment EAST (NDC), NaBanco (NB), NOVA, Paymentech, and Vital (VISA). “The point of sale and credit card processing enhancements are part of Fastrack’s continued progress to find ways to reduce operating costs, improve productivity, and increase the cash flow of our clients,” says Spencer Kay, president of Fastrack Healthcare Systems Inc.
